Dr. Heather Manning grew up in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and has lived in various areas throughout this beautiful state. She went to the University of New Hampshire for a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences, and then spent four years in Illinois for veterinary school at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Upon graduation from veterinary school in 2004, she returned to New Hampshire.
After working at a small animal practice in Concord for a couple of years, Dr. Manning found herself back in the Lakes Region. She worked at Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital and Laconia Animal Hospital from 2006 through early 2015.
Recently, her significant other took a job down in Nashua, making his commute a little longer than desired, so Dr. Manning decided to find a position further south so they could relocate — and Fisherville Animal Hospital fit the bill. They are currently on the hunt for a new house to call home. They are joined by two Siamese-mix kitties, Caliope (Callie) and Pooka, who take their job of running the house very seriously!
In her spare time, Dr. Manning enjoys traveling, reading, bike riding, swimming and boating on the lake, and downhill skiing. Her medical interests include feline medicine, preventive care, geriatric disease, and fostering the human-animal bond.
